Welcome to SurvivalKing.co.uk

Bought to you by BusinessRecall.co.uk

Survivalism has been an interest of mine for many years, since I can remember really. I've always wanted to see if others would enjoy my take on this subject, especially the equipment side of things, so here you have it, Survival King. A more down-to-earth look at the best personal survival equipment (in my opinion) in the world today. I've put my money where my mouth is and bought each piece of gear after much research, I don't like wasting money, survival rule No:1 so I've made sure everything in my kit is worth it's weight (and volume).

Stage 1:
Stage 1 of this website is dedicated to developing the ultimate PPSK (Prestige Personal Survival Kit), a kit that is as much for pleasure looking at as serious survival. Many months of research and development and years of interest in the subject have gone into this first stage and I hope that it offers you an in-depth view of the best personal survival products on the market today.

Me Anthony Lawrence, founder of Survival King

It's been my own personal mission to bring together the highest quality personal survivial equipment for many years. I've decided to call this range of hand picked survival gear 'K1' which simply stands for 'Kit 1'. Only the best tools for the job will do and during this journey I hope to produce an affiliation with suppliers around the world to offer the complete K1 inventory to all you discerning survivors.

"Hope you are all surviving well"

Welcome
to the first stage of the Survival King website.

Still getting things together for the next part of the Survival King story. Thanks for all those nice comments coming from YouTube, very much appreciated I can tell you.

I'm toying with several exclusive Survival King products including the 'K1 Bullet Cord 950'. One item that I've always wanted to cover has been the survival knife and over the last 12 months I've been trying to put together what I see as the ultimate handmade bush craft knife (and I mean a serious work of art). I'll get back to this all being well and funds allowing very soon.

Reporting in on the latest events. Well, it's been busy in the background here at base camp, just running tests on an exclusive product being produced by Oscar Delta exclusively for Survival King called 'K1 Bullet Cord 950', the 'King of Cords'. Should have this cord on sale here later this year.
I'm going to start photographing and filming more media for you soon so some great new additions to the website on the way and filling in areas I didn't have time to finish last year. Catch you all real soon, thanks for visiting.

January 17th
Just finished off the Leather Thimble page and Flat Candle, about to finish the Uncle Bills Sliver Grippers. I'm starting to get through the inventory now, all being well I'll have the other videos ready when the weather improves a little. Hope you are having fun those of you who have bought some of the survival gear I've mentioned. Thanks for all your support.

January 3rd
Well it's 2011 and I can't wait to finish off the K1 inventory for you. I'll be working on some more videos through the start of January, Peanut Lighter, Fuel Tank, K1 Fire Rig, and any other video I haven't done yet. I will also be finishing as many inventory pages as I can before the end of January so I can start the new 'K1 Bug-out' kit.

I've loved doing the K1 PSK, the survival products that I've found after many hours of research are just brilliant. I hope some of you will make the most of discounts from suppliers that I will be setting up later this year.

**Just Added**
December 16th
Peanut Lighter on the first page of inventory. I'll be doing a video ASAP of fueling, changing the flint and lighting.
---

In 2011 (basically when the K1 Prestige Personal Survival Kit is finished and complete on the website) I will be undertaking Stage 2, the 'K1 Bug-out'. A bag based kit (actually the Flyye Go-bag in this case). Naturally the K1 PPSK will be present but a host of other really great out door gear will be taking pride of place.

---

During 2011 I hope to get suppliers onboard with Survival King to offer you 'our patrons' special offers on as much of the represented K1 inventory as possible. At some point I hope to buy in my favorite items and sell them to you directly.

---

For ages I've been trying to find a way of producing a micro survival manual in a thin laminated form that can be packed as a series if cards at the bottom of your survival tin. By small I mean the print would need the Fresnel Magnifyer, seriously compact. Still working on this but will be adding it to the K1 inventory when I've got it together.
Stage 2:
In 2011 I will launch Stage 2
of my survival website covering the 'K1 Bug-out' based on my take of the GO-Bag, Grab-bag, Battle-bag, 72-Hour-Kit and many other names for the same type of thing. I have already started researching and buying the inventory for this part of the project and it's really nice gear, can't wait to share this with you.

If you are interested in joining together with Survival King and getting suppliers to offer new products, or discounts to us on existing survival equipment please contact me with your interest and I'll convey this to suppliers.

I thank you very much for taking an interest in Survival King and hope you enjoy the layout I've created for the website. I have to say this is not really a review site as it's my own take on the ultimate prestiege survival gear but I would love to hear your constructive thoughts on what you would like to see from the next generation of survival gear. Together we can can make it happen!

If you want to get straight in to the heart of the K1 inventory please click the 'Full Item List' link at the top of the page and enjoy.

OK, lets have a look at where this all started and where it's all going ...

Me with my first survival tin, well, not it had loads of nuts, bolts and nails in it

Survival King™ Beginnings

Yes that's me on the left, Anthony Lawrence with my favorite tin 34 years before I founded Survival King. Not really a survival tin but still my favorite tin of bits-and-bobs. There's something about messing about in boxes, tins and draws that has always fascinated me, you just never know what you'll find.

I've always loved miniature things, radio watches, pocket TV's, most of the gadgets that came from the 80's tried to shrink things down to an almost usable size and I loved it. This has carried on through my life and led me to form Survival King™ which I see as a way pushing miniaturization into a useful and potentially lifesaving area.

I know, it's not just about miniaturization, it's about survival gear that works. No point having something that can light fires but is so small you can't see to use, sort of defeats the point really. Well, I feel that I had a good start with my learning of survival techniques when one Christmas morning in the mid 80's I received 'The SAS Survival HandbookThe SAS Survival Handbook' by John 'Lofty' Wiseman, this was the beginning for me (OK, Rambo First Blood and the hollow handle survival knife kinda sealed the deal).

Pages 16, 17 and 18 are probably the most dog-eared
of my first survival handbook, the section about survival tins and pouches. It held my attention for hours looking at the gear that you could stuff into a 2oz tobacco tin. The exotic item descriptions would grab my imagination like, Beta Light, Potassium Permanganate and Condoms!, yes, for a 13 year old boy that always caused amusement.

Over the years I've had multiple survival kits, they get packed into my day sack or Bum-Bag (Fanny Pack to US visitors) when out walking and all but forgotten about, sitting there, waiting for their moment of glory, that strangely I hope they never get. What a shame not to enjoy these kits, practice with them, use elements within them for survival rehearsal, or just look at them and marvel at the array of kit available.

Part of the reason for me packing these kits away and forgetting about them is, well, to be honest there's nothing really worth looking at with most of the pre-packed kits and the ones I made up myself are just an array of bits and pieces that I came across along the way. Why does it have to be like this? why does the personal survival kit need to be a cheap box to tricks? one day this might be all that stands between you and staying alive so why not invest and do it in style.

Survival Books don't get much better than this, the SAS survival Handbook, what a brilliant Survival Book this is.

Buy The SAS Survival Handbook by John Wiseman. For me the greatest survival book on the market. Please use this link and I can get a small affiliation.
The way I started to look at the subject of PSK's is simple. If you did find yourself in a survival situation and you were there with your cheap tin of survival gear how much would you give to be able to go back to civilization and get your hands on the best quality gear available. Anybody with an inherent need to survive already knows the answer to that one so without further a do lets get down to business and take a look at the 'Full Item List'.

I really hope you enjoy this journey and get the same pleasure I do from discovering this new survival gear,

Thank You,

Anthony
